Steven Dorfman breaks down some of the most important steps victims should be taking after an auto accident for listeners of Westchester on the Level radio!
David H. Perecman, Founder and Lead Trial Lawyer at The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C., recently published an article on The 74 discussing elopement — wandering or running away — a common issue amongst children with special needs. The article highlighted the safety improvements achieved with the passing of Avonte’s Law, a New York City initiative that required schools with special needs students to install alarms on doors and was named for Avonte Oquendo, a 14-year-old autistic boy who tragically drowned after leaving his school undetected. In addition, Mr. Perecman discussed other precautionary measures that may further ensure the safety of special needs children in educational settings and help prevent future tragedies.
