Information You Need to Appeal
In order to appeal your Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits denial, you will need to compile the following pieces of evidence and paperwork:
- The most updated versions of your medical information – doctor records, paperwork from your hospital, etc.
- A list of any and all medicines you are currently taking
- Any change in your medical history or daily activities since your initial application

The Appeals Process
Appealing a Social Security Disability (SSD) denial is a four-level process:
- Reconsideration
- A hearing before a person called an ALJ or “administrative law judge”
- Appeals Council review
- Federal Court review
