Attorney Sagar Chadha Sworn in as SAICBA-Q's First General Secretary

Several members of the Perecman Firm attended the South-Asian and Indo-Caribbean Bar Association of Queens (SAICBA-Q) officers’ induction ceremony on Wednesday, January 24, where Perecman Firm associate Sagar Chadha was sworn in as its first General Secretary.

The event took place at the Chateau Haveli in Forest Hills, Queens, and Perecman Firm associates Zach Perecman, Ed Guldi, Chadha, and managing attorney Steven Dorfman were joined by a number of elected officials and judges, including New York City Public Advocate Latitia James and United States Congresswoman Grace Meng, who administered the oath of office to the inaugural board.

SAICBA-Q was founded to bring attorneys of South-Asian and Indo-Caribbean descent who either practice in or are from the borough of Queens in order to:

  • Collaborate with other bar associations and communities in Queens and NYC for the purposes of professional development and legal excellence
  • Increase diversity in the judiciary and profession
  • Increase access to legal services and justice for all communities in Queens

Members of our firm were excited to share this night with Chadha, and know that he will do an incredible job as the association’s first General Secretary.
