The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C. founding attorney David Perecman returned to moderate the New York State Trial Lawyers Association’s (NYSTLA) panel on Labor Law on January 12 and 19.
NYSTLA has invited David to moderate this panel for years now. His position as Chair gives him the opportunity to share his decades of experience with the plaintiff lawyers in attendance. Every year, the panel focuses on changes to laws that came down from the Court of Appeals and Appellate Divisions in the Labor Law arena. On event page, NYSTLA stated that:
“[W]e as practitioners need to apply these cases to best serve our clients - even while they continue to be understood, explained, and interpreted by the court. This year, once again, we will have some of the best minds in this area provide you with their knowledge and insights into the Labor Law as it exists today.”
In addition working with the panelists to break down the potential impact of these changes and how to best use them moving forward, the panel’s discussion took a deep dive into Labor Law 200, 240 and 241, going into the entire process from discovery techniques to winning summary judgement motions, all the way up to taking a case to trial.
NYSTLA has been providing a forum for plaintiffs' lawyers for more than 60 years, expanding and improving to become the 3,500-member professional organization it is today. At The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C., we have been fighting for the rights of injured victims throughout New York for more than 30 years now, and have recovered more than half a billion in verdicts and settlements for our clients.
