The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C. is proud to announce that Jamestown Community College student Jacob Gage is one of 2016’s two Avonte Oquendo Memorial Scholarship for Autism winners.
Gage was one of two winners of 2016’s scholarship, the second of whom wished to remain anonymous. Both were selected out of a pool of incredibly talented scholars, and we are excited to see them continue their pursuit of higher education. Both winners received $1,000.
2016 Avonte Oquendo Memorial Scholarship for Autism winner Jacob Gage
The Perecman Firm began the Avonte Oquendo Memorial Scholarship for Autism in memory of Avonte Oquendo, a 14-year-old autistic boy who died sometime after wandering off during the school day in 2013. You can learn more about Avonte and his family’s story here.
Applications for next year’s scholarship open again in January of 2017, and we are eagerly awaiting the next outstanding crop of applicants.
