A major concern to every parent, and to society itself, is the safety of our children. We expect that those who touch the lives of our children would work to keep them safe — teachers, school bus drivers, food producers, even toy manufacturers. When one of these fails, it is absolutely imperative to hold them accountable. Legal compensation is the means to obtain justice when our children are hurt through another’s negligence.
Two boys in upstate New York were hospitalized after a gust of wind blew an inflatable bounce house into the air while they were playing inside it.
According to police, a 10-year-old girl and two boys, 5 and 6 years of age, were playing in the structure in South Glen Falls, when it was blown free from the stakes that were anchoring to the ground.
The girl was near the entrance and fall off as the bounce house rose, and only suffered minor scrapes, officers said. They said the structure was 15 feet from the ground when the boys fell out, one of them landing on a parked car, and the other onto asphalt.
Both of them were taken to the hospital. Further information on their condition is currently unknown.
