Accidents happen. That’s just a reality of life. Unfortunately, these accidents can have tragic results, leading to losses than can never be replaced. These are sometimes cases where legal compensation is not necessarily needed to pay medical costs. Instead, it is a means to hold the one responsible for the accident accountable for the terrible harm they’ve done.
Grief counselors were called to Farmingdale High School after the death of five students in a car crash.
The car containing the students crossed into oncoming traffic in Farmingdale, resulting in a head-on collision with an SUV driving by a 53-year-old man.
The five victims who were killed in the crash were all teenagers ranged from 14 to 18 years of age. One of them survived the initial impact only to die in at Nassau University Medical Center the next night.
There were two others in the car who were seriously injured, but the police did not release details on them.
More than one thousand people attended a prayer vigil for the teenagers at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church.
