Everyone understands that accidents can be unavoidable. Sometimes no one is really at fault. Yet, most of the time an accident is caused by someone’s lack of regard for the law, or lack of regard for the safety of others. When these accidents caused by carelessness lead to destruction of property or personal injury, it takes money to recover — money that the victim should not have to pay. Legal compensation is the means through which the victim of an accident can recoup losses without suffering financially.
Two people, a driver and his passenger, were taken to the hospital after their storage truck drove straight into an overpass in Gates.
According to Monroe County sheriff’s deputies, the truck was driving on Interstate 490 when it smashed through a guardrail and headed toward the center median to smash into the one of the central pillars of the Westside Drive overpass.
Passenger and driver, both 30-year-old men, had only minor injuries to their faces and knees.
According to witnesses, the truck had been swerving between lanes before the crash.
