The driver, a 28-year-old unidentified man from the South Bronx, is in critical condition. No further information has been made available. Friends of the driver have stated to the media that he may not survive his injuries. According to information released by the police, there were 9 passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash and all suffered serious injuries. Two of the vehicle’s occupants are listed in critical condition. Ages of those in the SUV ranged from 24 to 36. The owner of the SUV, a 32-year-old man with a suspended driver’s license from Valley Cottage, N.Y., was not in the Cadillac when it crashed. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
